Album design for Jefferson Berry & The UAC
The album is about the fear of loss. There is a play on the word “double” with the two doors, referencing the world as we want it to be and the world as it is. Between the two is often where fear lies.
Doors with a double deadbolt are meant to protect us and create boundaries in our environment, yet this door in a field without walls is unable to keep anything out. The color scheme and the storm clouds on the horizon contribute to the sense of the fear of losing what we have and what we want to keep safe.
